The Tigers are scheduled to meet with the Adam Everett camp next week during the Winter Meetings in Las Vegas, NV. Detroit has already had some preliminary discussions with the Everett representatives this week but things are moving slowly.

The 32 year old Everett is a free agent this year and his name has been mentioned by a few teams looking for a surehanded shortstop.

The 2008 season with the Twins was plagued with injuries that resulted in one of the lowest fielding percentages (.967) since he became a full-time shortstop. The short stop hit .213 with two home runs, 20 RBIs, 12 Base on Balls, and no stolen bases in just 48 games in 2008.
