Summary
Minnesota was able to overcome a 1-0 deficit in the bottom of the 7th to give the Twins the series opener 1-2.

Batting
Jason Kubel was 2-for-3 with and RBI while Delmon Young came in as a pinch hitter to go 1-for-1 and score the game winner with his RBI.

Pitching
Francisco Liriano was outstanding on the mound, going 8 innings while giving up only 1 run on 5 hits. Liriano recorded a career tying high of 11 K’s while also tying MLB record for most K’s in a row with 7 straight. Liriano picks improves to 6-3 on the year with a 2.90 ERA.

Jon Rauch came in for the save and struck out the side for an impressive 16th save.

The Twins move to 36-25 while the Braves fall to 35-27.
